Abstract:

Improving the ecosystem balance and quality of life of the local population as a form of heritage conservation of the Land Walls.

Participants will focus on integrated socio-natural regeneration, prioritising active citizen participation to develop strategies that respect the site's unique character. The workshop involves a critical analysis of existing physical and social conditions, identifying pressures and potentials. Through collaborative work, students will engage in diagnosing key issues and formulating holistic, sustainable proposals. The methodology emphasizes community stewardship, biodiversity enhancement, and improved quality of life for local populations, while safeguarding the cultural heritage. The core objective is to bridge local needs with conservation and regeneration principles, fostering a dynamic and resilient future for the Land Walls through participatory design and planning.
